Donna Summer dies at 63

Donna Summer died yesterday morning after a battle with cancer.

Her publicist, Brian Edwards, said Summer was suffering from cancer. She died surrounded by her family in Florida, he said.

"Early this morning, we lost Donna Summer Sudano, a woman of many gifts, the greatest being her faith," a family statement said. "While we grieve her passing, we are at peace celebrating her extraordinary life and her continued legacy. Words truly can't express how much we appreciate your prayers and love for our family at this sensitive time."

Summer was a five-time Grammy winner best known for smash hits including "I Feel Love," "Love to Love You Baby" and "She Works Hard for the Money."

Wouter "Wally" De Backer (born 21 May 1980), also known professionally by his stage name Gotye is a Belgian-Australian multi-instrumental musician and singer-songwriter. Yahoo CEO Scott Thompson resigns

The move come shortly after a share holder revealed that Thompson's biography on the company website listed a degree that Thompson never received.

However Scott Thompson disclosed to the company's board of directors and several colleagues that he has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer, so the decision to leave Yahoo was in part influenced by Thompson's cancer diagnosis.

Thompson is being repleaced for now by Ross Levinsohn, yahoo's media and advertising chief.
